What's with the challenges?

This project is one that takes a little bit of explaining.  The main goal for us is, as we've mentioned, to live in more creative, loving, and all-around better ways.  There are many things people can do to accomplish such a feat; the way we choose to do it is by daily challenges.  Each one is meant to stretch us in some way-- mentally, spiritually, physically, emotionally.  Every challenge has a purpose, whether it's to learn to think outside of the box or whether it encourages people to love each other in a better way.
So, for instance, let's say that one challenge is to go the entire day without technology.  Why?  Because it's good to learn that our iPhones aren't the most important things in life.  It's good to spend time away from screens; read a book or go for a walk instead.  Spend time in the Word and learn to live apart from the little devices we're addicted to.  We may not always think of it this way, but we really are ADDICTED to phones, laptops, TVs, and the like.
As another example, maybe one day the goal will be to eat only vegan foods.  Why on earth would you do that?  If nothing else, it gets us out of our normal routines and we're forced to live-- for one day-- differently.  This particular challenge could help us eat more healthy foods, as well as appreciate the food we usually do eat.
All in all, the point of these challenges is to do just what the word suggests-- challenge us.  Do something you usually wouldn't do; get outside of your little box.  Take a chance, even if it's just for one day.  Maybe you want to try a challenge every day, like us, or maybe you just want to try out a few.  However many challenges you try, the important thing is to get out there and do it!  That's what our project is about, really.  Getting out there and trying new things that may be scary or just weird.
Don't worry about how you look when doing some of them...who cares!  Don't worry about failing, because we fully intend to fail a lot of these ourselves.  Nobody's perfect, after all.
We invite you to join us, in whatever capacity you like, and focus on making the world a more creative, loving, fun place.  Don't be shy; share your experiences, your thoughts (even if they differ from ours; just keep it kind), and even pictures of what you do.

Dreamers and Doers

There are two types of people in this world; dreamers and doers.  If you're a more technical person, you might understand this as sensing and intuitive people.  Both are important and play integral parts in our world.   Society needs both types of people in order to function well.  If nobody dreams, nothing new would ever come about.  We wouldn't have new foods, new types of architecture; we wouldn't have Disney!  However, if everyone is a dreamer and no one is a doer, nothing would ever be accomplished and we still wouldn't have new foods, types of architecture, or Disney.  We need people to dream up big ideas, and other people to carry them out successfully.
We are the dreamers of the world, and it's time for us to do something about it!  We have a lot of creative ideas, and that is a wonderful thing - but we can't keep it locked up inside.  So, starting on March 1st, we are out to make a change.  The Life Creativity Project is dedicated to creatively living our lives, loving the people around us, and making a change in the world, one day at a time.  And though we will fail at times, we are excited to explore new possibilities and new ways of seeing life.  We will share our experiences, be it good or bad, and we encourage you to join with us in making daily life choices that inspire us, as well as those around us.
This isn't just for dreamers like us, but also for the doers. Together we will change the world.  We have a creative goal in mind; whatever your creative goal in life may be, share your ideas and experiences.  Let's do this together, encouraging and lifting each other up.  Let's be an inspiration to those around us, and show the world that life is a creative project and we love to be a part of it.
Every day starting with the month of March, we will have a challenge to be met; these challenges are meant to stretch us and at the end of the day we will document our experiences.  We will be stretched mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally, in the pursuit of the creative life.  Join us in these challenges, whether it's for the entire month or just one day!
Here are the challenges for our first week as The Life Creativity Project:

March 1st- Choose 5 people to secretly bless.
March 2nd- Be without technology for the day.
March 3rd- Write a short film script in one day.
March 4th- Photo journal everything you do during the day.
March 5th- Donate two books.
March 6th- Post a smile and encouraging blurb on people's walls (on facebook).
March 7th- Count the times you hear the word "like" throughout the entire day.

Good luck!
